PLEASE DON’T CRY
The concept for this series came to me while I was out front of an Erewhon grocery store in LA drinking coconut turmeric milk from an old-fashioned milk bottle with my sister. The text ‘PLEASE DON’T CRY’ is a reference to the phrase “it’s no use crying over spilled milk”. The series is both a literal and symbolic representation of moving on from circumstances that have already occurred–as in the case of “spilled milk”. It’s about dealing with the hand that you are dealt or the situation at the moment and working with it the best way that you can. ‘PLEASE DON’T CRY’ is a reminder that everything is impermanent and constantly changing and that we can only move forward as best we can.
