French Yellow is my most abstract series of work and is based on a collection of serendipitous French words and phrases enthused by my own experiences in the ‘City of Lights’. French Yellow is typified by large abstract brush strokes in bright yellow paint, accentuated by a background paint that creates a negative space allowing for the text to run uninterrupted behind the yellow.
