I first came up with the word ‘HOMOVELOCITY’ and its definition: ‘the speed of gays’ in 2001. I had just moved to San Francisco after living 7 years in Europe and I was working at the French Cafe La Boulange and making t-shirts after art pieces that I created. ‘HOMOVELOCITY’ was created for Gay Pride 2001. It was very undercover and I kept getting busted by the police for selling t-shirts without a permit. Since those first days in San Francisco, I’ve come a long way and I’ve gone from short runs of t-shirts to full time Artwork.
